Marketing Advisory Services – Innovation

Introduction

FUSION is an EU research and innovation funding programme that supports and promotes local research and innovation as well as providing the necessary support to enable researchers and technologists to turn their innovative ideas into a market-ready reality.

Marketing Advisory Services was commissioned as a service provider for Stage 2 and Stage 3 of the programme in order to conduct a number of Market Research exercises with the aims of identifying whether there is a market for a number of different technological concepts and prototypes.

The projects in which Marketing Advisory Services was involved spanned several industries including aerospace, architectural design, and audio-visual communication. During the exercise we assessed the size of the market (both locally and on an international scale), the demand for such products, any gaps in the existent markets that could be filled by these technologies, and what other companies are currently or could potentially become future competitors if the technology was introduced in the market.

Additionally, we conducted a Product Development Costing Exercise, which provided initial estimates of the costs involved, in order to get the technology being developed to a state of market readiness, the product pricing and positioning as well as a 3-year forecast including worst case, most likely case and best case scenarios.
